Joint users group meeting
The joint users group which consists of representatives of the sports clubs in Olney met with councillors on Thursday May 11th to discuss matters of interest. The success that the cricket, football and rugby clubs have had attracting young members can be seen by a visit to the recreation ground and charity field at weekends. d
Police open meeting – Tuesday 9th May 2006
The main issues residents of Olney were concerned about were brought up at the police open meeting. These were anti-social behaviour, graffiti and a need for a greater police presence. It was recognised that the vast majority of young people in the town were responsible members of the community. Our new ward councillor, Debbie Brock, has arranged to update Mark Lancaster MP with a summary of the matters, and Mark will discuss these with Inspector Liversidge at his meeting with him on 31st May. d

Old Olney
On Wednesday 10th May, Cllr Alan Richardson gave a stimulating talk to the whole of Year 3 at Olney First School on the subject of Olney past and present. Slides were shown of the changes that had taken place in Olney over the past century. Alan’s talk was so interesting that when it came to break time most of the children stayed behind to ask a range of intelligent questions. d
