But the Wellingborough ladies took the cup and beautiful bouquets (donated by New Leaf) to leave the other teams waiting for next year to try and keep the cup in Olney.
Event organiser Andrea Rawlings commented “It was a fantastic afternoon and it was great to see even the losing teams walk away looking so happy knowing that they had helped raise such a large amount of money before they realised how much they were going to suffer the next day!”
Many thanks to David Pibworth for the commentary (and Anna from Park!) plus Ian Stokes for the arrangement of the competition and everyone who donated prizes for the raffle and purchased tickets that helped raise a further £140 towards the total.
