OLNEY CAMERA CLUB
The speaker aT this month’s meeting was Jim hartje from peterborough. Jim based his talk on the struggle of photography to be accepted as art. he went on to demonstrate the techniques he uses, via photoshop and pro show Gold, to transform some of his photographs into works of art. he then gave a presentation of his work which is renowned around the world.
The club was also host to the Milton keynes photographic society’s annual print competition. Judged by Trevor Mchugh from kettering, there were some 70 entries in two categories, monochrome and colour. The winner in the colour category was Neil schofield of New City photographic society with “point of No
return” and in the monochrome category Carol Gillow from
Leighton Buzzard with “stormy eastbourne”. The best results for
Olney were in the Monochrome category with andy Gailer’s
“Constabulary Duties” and Jeff Taylor’s “Walkway in the sky” both
of which were highly Commended.

Above is the picture that was ‘highly commended’ in Olney Camera Club hosted Milton Keynes Photographic Alliance Print Competition last Wednesday, titled ‘Constabulary Duties’ in monochrome category. This competition took place at the Olney Centre.
