Northampton High School Sweeps the board!
In January and February 2011, Northampton High School hosted a large team of inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate, who looked at all areas of the school, including Nursery, Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form.
The outcome of the inspection was exceptional. All aspects of the school were judged to be excellent and all aspects of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) were judged to be outstanding. These are the highest grades it is possible to achieve.
Sarah Dixon, Headmistress at Northampton High said; “In nearly 20 years of inspecting experience myself, I cannot recall seeing a report as good as this and it is richly deserved. The teachers here are fantastic, so the girls get amazing academic results, but it’s just as important to us that they’re well cared for, happy and having a good time in lots of different activities. Northampton High is fun and friendly, as well as the best possible launch to a successful career; the report shows that the inspectors “get it” in terms of what we’re really about here. I’m thrilled, very proud of all our staff and girls, and grateful to our parents who gave us such high scores in the anonymous questionnaires they sent to the ISI.”
Within the report, inspectors’ comments include: “Pastoral care is outstanding.”
“Relationships are excellent throughout the school.”
“Girls are confident, articulate and enthusiastic. They enjoy being at this school.”

“At A Level... progress is exceptional when compared with the average for pupils of similar ability.”

“The younger girls exude enjoyment and warmth and the seniors are confident and relaxed in an environment they feel is their own.”
“The quality of links with parents, carers and guardians is excellent.”
