Sheriff’s Charity Ride starts in Olney
Sunday 16 September at 11.00. Everyone is welcome to wave the High Sheriff off to a great start.
The High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Mrs Carolyn Cumming, will ride on horseback from the north to the south of the county between 16 and 23 September 2012 to raise funds for and awareness of local community groups and charities The High Sheriffʼs Ride has been inspired by the rural rides of 19th century journalist William Cobbett, who, in the 1820s at a time of great change in England, got on his horse to observe and document the impact of change on local communities.
People are invited to donate to the good causes supported by the High Sheriffʼs Ride through www.localgiving.com.
