I write in support of Ron Grooms poem in
the January Phonebox. A brilliant idea!!
It would be wonderful to see Punts back
and people enjoying the beautiful river at
Newport Pagnell. In doing so this would
attract visitors to Newport Pagnell and this in turn would boost high street trade and encourage new shops to open and flourish.
It would bring life back to the centre and give Newport Pagnell something unique in this area to promote. This might even be something the National Lottery would consider helping to fund, or perhaps even Tescos to win over the hearts of those that opposed their new store. So, who is going to take up the batten and run with this great idea?
Would the Phonebox help support a campaign? I for one would gladly do anything I could to make it happen.
