Dear Editor
RNLI Collection thanks
Winter hanging on for just a little bit longer didn’t dampen the spirits of the RNLI MK collection team recently.
They were out in force at Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands and managed to raise a nice sum for the RNLI.
Thank you to all that attended or donated, we all appreciate your support.
If anyone would like to help with future collections, events and carnivals, an hour every month or two would really help.
They also managed to meet Diarmuid Gavin the TV gardener who was at Frosts for an event.
Please look at our website www.rnlimk.wordpress.com or ring Rod, the RNLI MK Chairman, on 07831 192244.

UPDATE
Macular Society Support Group
Dear Editor
such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion can also damage the macula.
The website for the national society is www.macularsociety.org The Milton Keynes Macular Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 2.00 – 4.00pm, at Milton Keynes Centre for Integrated Living, 330 Saxon Gate West, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 2ES (attached to Christ the Cornerstone Church).
After a variety of people contacted us regarding
Dodo Antiques, which recently closed it’s doors in
Olney, a group has been set up to try to track down
their belongings which were left at the shop and have not been returned.
I am the group leader of the Macular Society Support Group in Milton Keynes and would like to publicise the group as widely as possible in the Milton Keynes area and wonder if this would be possible in The Phonebox. Macular conditions affect the central part of the retina, the macula, and cause loss of central vision so making it difficult to distinguish faces and recognise people, to read and to drive. Macular disease only affects the macula and is the most common cause of sight loss in industrialised countries. Some other conditions
Some customers knew they had shut down and some had no idea at all. None of them had been able to contact Dodo or a representative of the company.
The group are collecting whatever information they can and would like your help. If you can help please get in touch with us and we will pass on any information.
We are a growing group, having begun just over two years ago, and welcome anyone with central vision loss and their carers, and relations. They do not need to belong to the Macular Society. With kind regards
Also if you would like to join the group because you have items that have not been returned send us an email and we will put you in contact with the group.
