Olney Rugby Club
It was a fitting finale to a great season for this years Under 9’s from Olney Rugby Club. After two days of non stop rugby on tour in East Sussex, Olney U9’s took home the winning silverware in deserved fashion.
The competition was tough with teams from all over the South East of England taking part. Around half of our regular squad ‘Toured’ for the first time. Mums, dads, grandad’s, brothers and sisters were all in attendance and cheering the squad on. Brilliant way to spend a bank holiday weekend!
Well done to everyone for their support and congratulations to each of the players!

under 9’s
Olney under 8’s rounded off a fantastic season by winning both the A and B team tournaments at the end of season Banbury festival. Both teams won their groups without losing a
game and beat Chinnor and Worcester respectively in the nals. The under 8’s squad has gone from strength to strength this season and now has 51 players in the ranks. Olney had already demonstrated that they can compete with the best in the country this season, having won the Holt festival in Norfolk whilst on tour and the London Irish rugby festival at Reading. The children are now having a well-earned rest before the season starts again in September and they start playing contact.
