The Friends of Cobbs Garden Surgery Open Meeting @ Cobbs Garden Surgery, West St, Olney Wednesday July 10th at 7.30pm
The registered charity run by a group of patients whose aim is to raise funds to provide equipment and services for the surgery that the NHS no longer provides are holding an informal open meeting. Anyone interested in helping with future fund raising will be very welcome. The past year’s activities and consideration of future spending will also be discussed. ----------------------------------------

Annual Ramble and Treasure Hunt
Sunday 14th July 2013, 3pm
Maps and clues provided. Starting at the Bowling Green, North Crawley. A short ramble of 2 to 3 miles, around local roads and footpaths, to find answers to the clues provided, will end up at 40 Folly Lane. Refreshments and a Barbecue will be provided and everyone is welcome to join in. If you are unable to take part in the Ramble/Hunt you may join the rest of us for the BBQ at 40 Folly Lane, by about 5pm, where a raffle will be held. The first of three events this year, Geoff O’Brien, the organiser, admits to being totally “gobsmacked” at the positive response from local, creative folk booking up for the show. At least 25 exhibitors will be cosily ready to welcome visitors to the URC Hall. Members of the Lions will be on hand, as will local scouters helping to “meet and greet”. For those who are not in the know, the URC hall in the High Street is adjacent to the Co-op and opposite Oxfam, by the traffic lights.

Save the Date - the ‘Big Olney Food Festival’ is back
Olney Chamber of Trade are already busy planning the fth annual ‘Big Olney Food Festival’ (‘BOFF’), so keep Saturday 7th September 2013 free! The festival will take place in the market place in Olney from 12 noon until 10.30pm.
“BOFF is a great community event which showcases the wonderful variety of food and drink available in the Olney area,” says Olney Chamber of Trade Chair Samantha Tomlin of Red Apple HR. “Last year’s event was more successful than we had imagined, and we hope people will help us build on that success and support BOFF in 2013.”
“In past years we have had wonderful support from volunteers who helped on the day and local businesses who give their nancial support through sponsorship,” says Samantha. “We depend on them all to make the event a success. If you would like to get involved in, or sponsor BOFF please do get in touch to nd out more.”
