Dons Demolish Devils
League One side MK Dons humiliated 13 time Premier League winners Manchester United as braces from Will Grigg and Benik Afobe resulted
in a 4-0 thrashing over Louis Van Gall’s side. Grigg first got on the score sheet after brilliant closing down play by Ben Reeves lead to Johnny Evans putting a misplaced pass into the path of the Irishman, who then played a simple cutback for the striker to finish and send home fans into bedlam, but little did they know that this was just the beginning. The man on loan from Brentford claimed his second after the hour mark with a courageous finish off his chest past the sprawling David De Gea from another Ben Reeves assist.
Afobe got in on the act just minutes after taking to the field, finishing off a tremendous passing move from the home team with a spotless finish. His second was gifted to the Arsenal loanee by lacklustre United defending. Afobe was able to skip past 3 players on the edge of the box to fire in the bottom corner, creating euphoria around Stadium:MK.

Summer day out in the sunshine
Armed with ginger biscuits, mints and carrots, the Newport Pagnell Brownies gave two donkeys, Donk Dean and Charlie, a special treat at the end of July.
The youngsters and their leaders headed to the EST
(Elisabeth Svendson Trust) Donkey Sanctuary to see the adopted animals and learn all about them.
Starting with a relaxing trip on the River Avon, the Brownies enjoyed the views and warm sunshine. They then went for a walk alongside the river and went into town, where they were treated to a McDonalds. After lunch, they jumped back on the coach to travel to the sanctuary and see the donkeys. A highlight of the trip for everyone, the girls loved seeing the gentle animals.
Made very welcome by the team there, we enjoyed tea and drinks that were on offer. The girls were split into two groups to meet and groom the donkeys, which they all loved very much. Soon after, they had to pick new donkeys to adopt as both Charlie and Donk Dean were retiring. Following this, the girls went to the shop to spend their pennies on treats and gifts.
Sadly, the day soon came to an end and the group began their journey home, arriving back in Newport Pagnell in the late afternoon. Happy and tired, a great day was had by all.
