@The Market Place Gallery
December 2014
Ed Robinson from Olney has just delivered work to The Market Place Gallery in Olney. “The run up to Christmas is always a busy time of year for me,” says Ed. “It’s encouraging that demand for my work is so high.”
Earthy Explorers: Story Detectives
He adds: “My favourite painting is the one of Olney market. It was a late winter’s afternoon with the market stall lights beaming over the array of fruits and vegetables creating a backdrop for the silhouetted figures bustling around the market. Also the graphic shapes of the packaging and labels add drama to the scene. It is a beautiful painting produced in my mixed-media style of acrylic washes over a base of newsprint and bits of packaging picked up from the market to give it a personal touch.”
