Great Linford Platform
Dear Editor, Please can you say a huge thank you on my behalf to Peter Arnold and Geoff Parker who have been working steadily and brilliantly on transforming the old platform at Great Linford on the railway walk redway. They are always cheerful and enthusiastic and always say hello when I pass on my bicycle on the way to work. They have achieved a wonderful result with some lovely planting and tidying, their work looks amazing. Regards, Mark Pawson.

A Lonely Duck
Dear Editor, Does anyone know where my friend is? On Friday 21st August I was standing alongside him, outside The Boutique on Olney High Street, waiting patiently to be re-homed. I must have turned my back for a moment because when I looked for him he had gone. Maybe he had someone’s help. I don’t know. What I do know is that I do miss him, not least because we were hoping to be friends for life.
So, if you know where he is it would be nice if he could be returned so that he could join me in my new home.
Thank you, A Lonely Duck.

LeJog
Dear Editor, Thanks you to everyone who supported and sponsored me on my Lands End to John O Groats cycle ride in July, especially to Newport Pagnell and Olney Lions and Pedalz who serviced my bike. I completed the journey in 10 days averaging 99.3 miles each day.
A magnificent £2,500 will be divided between the four charities – Cancer Research UK, Youth Cancer Trust, Whizz-Kidz and Alzheimer’s Society. Martin Ward
Wedding Congratulations
Mr and Mrs Amos
Congratulations to Nigel Amos and Claire Howard who recently got married at the Hotel Principe Felipe within the La Manga Club resort in Spain. In a sun drenched ceremony that took place on the 24th July, nearly 100 family and friends watched the happy couple
tie the knot, whilst daughters Holly, Amy, Katie and Isla were bridesmaids along with two of Claire’s friends. We wish them all the best for the future.
