Editorial
September is one of the best months locally for local events and things to do in our region.
BOFF, the Big Olney Food Festival, will keep us fed this month with a two day food extravaganza on Olney Market Place. We have a centre spread dedicated to everything that is happening on the 12th and 13th and lots of articles on food inside with many of the local food purveyors telling us about themselves. See pages 52-53 for more on them.
Newport Pagnell has it’s Muster this month. So if you fancy a ‘walk’ in the morning to give you an appetite for later on in the day there are several choices of routes for you. With any of the walks starting from 10am. More Muster on page 41.
We’ll have people at each event; with some doing both the walking and the eating, and next month we’ll tell you all about it in words and pictures.
But the month of September is not just about two days! And if you look at our What’s On section and The Buzz you’ll find plenty to keep you amused for the whole of the month.
This month we have interviews with Hairspray and Benidorm star Peter Maudsley in our Buzz section and an interview with Yardley Hasting’s Le Mans winner, Oliver Gavin also. Read all about it inside. Also for the Music lovers out there we have a competition to win two tickets to see The Shires on the 1st October at the Corn Exchange, Bedford. It was a sell-out last time they appeared so to get a pair of free tickets all you have to do is send us in your answer to the question on page 16 to be in with a chance. More on the Shires inside.
Enjoy September.
