A one-off request to every household in our town
after. On the Evening of the 11th, Wards of Olney will load all the boxes and deliver them to Calais on Monday 12th October. John will accompany them and ensure they are handed personally to every refugee family in the ‘Jungle Camp’.
John is indebted to the following companies for their unequivocal support, without which this humanitarian endeavour would not be taking place:

Cash or cheque donations can be dropped into Phonebox Magazine, Unit 2 Stanley Court, Olney. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Phonebox Magazine Olney Aid Appeal’.
The Coop, Olney, has kindly agreed to donate toiletries to the value of £100. They are also having a container at the shop for you to donate toiletry items. The items that are needed most are toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and shampoo.
Any contributions you could make will be greatly received by Olney Aid to deliver to Calais.

Shoes: trainers or hiking shoes (only the most common sizes 41-43.) Tents (even incomplete, covers, tarpaulin) Jackets: (only small or medium sized ones) travelling bags, socks, candles, belts.
What is always needed:
Tracksuit trousers (highly appreciated), jeans Size 28-32, blankets, sleeping bags, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, plastic bags, wooly hats, pants, pots, pans.
What is not needed:
Women’s and children’s clothes and shoes, sheets, pillows, suits, town shoes, jumpers, wellingtons.
