Charlie Landsborough
After leaving school at sixteen, Charlie began his career in a band called The Top Shots,
which later transformed into The Undertakers, becoming one of the top bands in the Merseybeat era. Sadly, Charlie was in the army at the time, so missed out on this opportunity. But it wasn’t long before he joined The Rockavons who gathered a good following. Later on, he played in The Onions and Chicago Sect. In 1972, Charlie starred in Hughie Green’s television programme Opportunity Knocks, and in the mid ’90s, after a long time waiting, came his big break. His talent began to get more recognition and he appeared with George Hamilton IV at Wembley Arena too. Since 1995, Charlie has toured the UK and Eire twice a year, having performed at most major concert halls and theatres. He has now released an amazing 28 albums.
