MS Thanks
I wish to say a huge thanks to everyone who supported me on Saturday 19th September in raising funds for MS Research.
September was awareness month for MS and for my part I wore a bright orange wig to promote awareness of this chronic disease and from the cake sale I had in the High Street I raised £261 for the cause.
I wish to express my thanks to everyone who baked cakes for me and the ladies who helped me set up on the day (my good friends Diane, Joan and my lovely neighbour Laraine).
A special thank you to Alex at Sandwich Land for donating two of his special tiramisu which he baked himself for me; Gabriella of Donzellas for baking two cakes at short notice; the young lady Charlotte who baked a stunning cake which I was able to raise extra funds by raffling; Jackie from Cafe Rosco; Esther from Darwins who popped up to see me and donated a lovely box of chocolates; Mike Pezaro for his ‘boozy’ coffee cupcakes and all you wonderful people of Olney who baked cakes and biscuits. All proceeds raised will go to research and your support will give hope to everyone suffering from this debilitating disease that one day a cure will be found – thank you one and all from the bottom of my heart.
Many of you will be aware that I recently started a group at the Olney Centre for fellow sufferers, family, friends and carers to drop in and share your experiences of living with MS. We are a friendly bunch and the session is informal, so pop along and join us for tea or coffee and cake on the first Monday of every month. Our next meeting will be on Monday 2nd November, from 2.00 - 3.00pm.

Members were sorry and disappointed to read that “MKC’s initial response to Ron Mihill’s proposal last month for additional pedestrian crossings on the Market Place was sceptical, as it felt there was already too much activity outside the row of shops near Costa Coffee”. A user of a motor scooter or walking aid needs a lowered curb to cross to the Market Place. Whilst these are situated along this stretch of road, they are rarely accessible because of parked cars. To cross between the cars is hazardous as, at sitting height, it is necessary to get onto the road in order to see when there is a gap in the traffic. To date our Chairman (Ron Mihill) has not personally received any response to his proposal. Is it possible an alternative solution is being considered?
Yours sincerely, P. A. Terry (Mrs)

Sainsbury Skatepark
Welcome to Sainsburys Skate Park (or basketball court).
Just an idea I had after reading last months article about play equipment. If Sainsburys get the go ahead to build their store, as an incentive to get on with the neighbours, as it were, perhaps the powers that be at Sainsbury could not only fund a play area but have it sited on their land to be.

Working at a deeper level can be difficult and painful at times, however the rewards and benefits of a happier more content life will soon outweigh what can feel like an arduous and long journey. The work we do together will be one of the most unique and rewarding experiences you may ever have and hopefully enable you to be the
person you want to be.
All work will be undertaken within a quiet and safe location.Your trust in total confidentially is paramount, and my relationship with you will respect this at all times. My practice is underpinned by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy
