26 August, Friday, 7:30pm-8:45pm The Friends of St Lawrence invite you to a Family Bat Walk! Suitable for children aged 5 and over. Family ticket 35 (up to 2 adults and 4 children). Adults £2. Email friendsofstlawrence@gmail.com to book your ticket. Rhona Bate, bat expert, will give a short talk on bats then lead us on a bat walk using bat detectors to see what we can  nd! Vale Park Event

Vale Park will be  lled with live music all day on the huge outdoor stage. Showcasing 13 local bands & acoustic acts such as Lost Minute, Evette Judge, James & Jack Manders, Bustin’ Loose, headlined by SkaSouls. This great day out for all ages is enhanced with free traditional fun-fair rides, in atables and family entertainment.
You can bring a picnic or take your pick from a range of local catering stalls, bars, hot fresh coffee and refreshments. From 10:15pm-11:30pm, you can join the experts from UK Astronomy (who usually meet in Emberton) to marvel and gaze at the night sky. They will have equipment and periscopes available for you use, alongside their extensive knowledge and guidance to learn more about the solar system and wider galaxy in which we live.

Flower Festival
@Newport Pagnell Parish Church
Sunday 28th August, 11.30am to 5pm and Monday 29th August, 10am to 4pm
The Flower Festival will be held during the August Bank Holiday weekend using the English Civil War period as its theme. We can’t guarantee any Roundheads and Cavaliers, but we couldn’t let this historic weekend pass without a tribute in  owers in the Parish Church, where events of the Civil War took place over 300 years ago. The festival will be open on the above dates and we will have refreshments for our visitors.
Willen Hospice
Ride for Willen Cycling Sportive
On Bank Holiday Monday 29th August
Willen Hospice will be holding its  rst Ride for Willen Cycling Sportive. Starting at Cran eld University Campus, cyclists will be able to choose from three di erent routes between 20 miles and 65 miles. The sportive is open to a range of cycling abilities and there’s also an o -road cycle challenge for kids to get involved in.

we have a Vintage Fete and Cavalcade – you don’t have to dress up – where there will be something for all ages (games, stalls, classic cars, refreshments and the chance to dress up in Victorian costume for a memorable family photograph). Exhibition of National Treasures
The church will be open all weekend where you can view our exhibition of ‘National Treasures’.

The Magni cent Seven Jazz Band

Formed in 2013 by a nucleus of musicians from the Chris Barber, Acker Bilk and Kenny Ball bands, the Magnificent Seven Jazz Band comprises some of the most sought- after and successful musicians on the jazz scene today. Performing a wide range of jazz styles though well-crafted arrangements, this band of versatile musicians successfully blends music from every jazz genre into an exciting and approachable package.
