takes what is in place now and reworks parts of the city and enhances others to provide better housing, commercial and leisure facilities to accommodate the growth.
● Milton Keynes: The Creative and Culture City will be the project to build upon the already great diversity of sport, culture and art such that Milton Keynes is a world-class destination – this will greatly support the economic aspirations.
We are sure that many of you will want to understand more about the work of the

The next step is to prepare high level plans to move the six projects forward and these should start to emerge by the end of 2016.
Planning application for houses in Lavendon
When we attended the July meeting of Lavendon Parish Council we encountered many members of the public who had turned up to discuss an application for the development of 21 homes on a piece of land adjacent to Castle Road and The Glebe. This was reminiscent of the public interest in the 36 homes proposed for Sherington in 2014. We arranged for a full public meeting attended by Milton Keynes Planning officers to be held to discuss the application and will report on the outcome in next month’s article.
Brian White
As many readers will know, Brian White, Milton Keynes North MP from 1997-2005, a Borough Councillor for over 20 years and Mayor of Milton Keynes, 2013-2024, died
in July. Brian was a great ambassador for Milton Keynes and will be sadly missed by the people who knew him. Whilst he did not expect to be elected as an MP, he certainly put his heart and soul into the role and was very supportive of the “rural north”. Our thoughts are with his wife, Leena, who delivered a moving and pretty humorous reflection of her life with Brian at the very well-attended thanksgiving service held at Christ the Cornerstone Church.
