A talk ‘In Search of Alfred The Great’. An archaeological dig in Winchester - by Katie Tucker, visiting Professor in human bioarchaelogy at Winchester University and Human Osteology at the Deutches Archaologisches Institut, Berlin. She is based in Germany with projects in Ethiopia and Romania and has appeared frequently on archaeological programmes.
‘The art of Waterloo’ Peter Warwick offers an artisitic and cultural appreciation of one of the greates battles of all time. Peter is NADFAS and cruise ship lecturer, is Chairman of the International Committee for Waterloo 200, also the 1805 club and organises commemorative events.

Formed in 2013 by a nucleus of musicians from the Chris Barber, Acker Bilk and Kenny Ball bands, the Magni cent Seven Jazz Band comprises some of the most sought-after and successful musicians on the jazz scene today. Performing a wide range of jazz styles though well-crafted arrangements, this band of versatile musicians successfully blends music from every jazz genre into an exciting and approachable package. Calling on their experience of performing with Europe’s most in uential jazz bands of the last sixty years, the Magnificent Seven combines a wealth of experience with youthful exuberance.
