Editorial
September, originally the seventh of ten months in the Roman calendar and the ninth month of the year in the Julian calendar, is the beginning of the meteorological autumn.... But don’t let that put you off going out and enjoying yourselves. September has lots to offer, just take a look at our contents list, there’s even the MK Job Show in case you fancy a change of career; see page 12 for a bit more on that.
Musicians Against Homelessness are having a charity music festival over the weekend of 23rd, 24th and the 25th of September, culminating in The Girls from Mars on the 25th at the Craufurd Arms creating a bit of 90s nostalgia. Find out more about them in our Buzz section on page 14.
MAH is organised by our very own Steve Wells, from Newport Pagnell, who was front man with The Vision and is now with Colony. Good luck to Steve and well done to all the bands playing over the weekend for such a good cause; we will be there supporting you. It will be something to really look forward to. Find out more about this weekend of great music on page 28.
One thing that you can really enjoy over the weekend of 10th and the 11th in September is the Big Olney Food Festival, offering plenty of tasty surprises for all you food lovers out there. We have lots of info on what is happening at BOFF inside the magazine so get tucked in. We’ll be wandering around with our cameras and hope to see you there, so give us a smile if you see us!!
