Cowper & Newton Museum

Situated in the Market Place, Olney. It is where William Cowper and John Newton lived for twenty years. William Cowper is one of England's favourite poets. Visitors can experience domestic life as they experienced it, in late Georgian times.
You can also enjoy his garden and the celebrated summer-house where he wrote, and where he used to meet his neighbour, the preacher and former slave trader John Newton, author of the hymn Amazing Grace.'
