Newport Pagnell Carnival
Saturday 7th July 2007
The Newport Pagnell 2007 Carnival is taking place on Saturday 7th July and is promising to be a fantastic family day out.
Don’t miss the parade of Classic Cars, Aston Martins, Harley Davidsons, floats, dancers and walkers, leaving Tanners Drive,
Blakelands at 11.45am travelling down the Wolverton Road, into the High Street, St John Street into Severn Drive and onto the Riverside Meadow. Here you are promised an afternoon packed with fun and entertainment. See the James
Bond car that appeared in Die Another Day, courtesy of Aston Martin. See James Bond! The very handsome Sean Connery will be at the Meadow. Be sure to have
your photo taken with him. (OK so it’s only a lookalike but who will know?)
For the kids there will be a Mini Bond and Bond Girl competition to enter on the day. Just turn up on the day ‘dressed to kill’, and you can enter the competition. Age ten and under only please.
The Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, celebrating 25 years, will be putting on a demo and introducing these wonderful dogs to you. Gully Mouse will be singing and dancing the
day away with the kids and Belly Dancers will be delighting us with a few routines.
The funfair, model railway, pony rides, bungee run, velcro wall, rodeo, stalls, a fabulous selection of food and much much more.
Finally, you can dance through the decades with the fantastic ‘Platform Soul’, the ultimate soul, dance and disco band who will bring you music from the 1970s right through to the current day. This fabulous band is going to rock this town, have fun and get the audience dancing.
Be there!
