A saatchi Favourite at jgallery - Jaroslaw Ancuta
As a regular readier of your phone box magazine I noticed that an advert from Moulton, Northampton appeared in the magazine. This made me realised that you cover a large area and that some of your readers are close to Northampton.
I wondered if you were aware of the jgallery art gallery in Moulton. We have a wonderful exhibition starting next week, a very talented young Polish man, who lives and works in London. He made a great impression on the public at the Tate Modern, and we are very fortunate to have him exhibiting locally.

“Ancuta reveals himself with every incisive line he draws”
Solo Show by emerging Polish Artist Jaroslaw Ancuta.
jGallery of Moulton Northamptonshire is pleased to arrange the first UK Solo Show by the emerging Polish Artist Jaroslaw Ancuta who lives in London. Born in 1969 Jaroslaw studied art in his native Poland and came to the UK ten years ago.
His work numbering 20 plus items reveals an extraordinary world populated by figures and preoccupied by the workings of his metaphysical imagination.
“His work is rooted in the Northern School coming as he does from Poland” remarked the Curator of jGallery, Sue Brooks who is supporting this artists first exhibition in the UK.
The jGallery Northampton has pioneered new and cutting edge contemporary art recently and has an emerging reputation for promoting new artists as well as that of International artists such as Will Allsop and Professor Andrew Stonyer of the University of Gloucester and Katayoun Dowlatshahi an Iranian living in the UK “Jaroslaw’s work has been consistently built up over recent years and shows a remarkable degree of lyricism and freedom of thought as well as highly developed technical fluency” said Gerald Porter, a Free Lance Curator who discovered his work whilst he was working at London’s Tate Gallery some years ago.
The exhibition opened at the jGallery on Saturday November 14th at 2.30 pm.
The dates of the Exhibition by Jaraslaw Ancuta are Saturday November 14th – December 24th inclusive.
The full review of his work can be obtained from Gerald Porter gerald_porter@talktalk.net
Details of the events surrounding the Exhibition and further details of the artist can be obtained from:-
