New creative hub opens in Newport Pagnell
The 5th MK Classic Car Tour
Sunday 17th April
Friday 25th March saw the opening of the WatershedMK and the Belfry Gallery at the Tickford Arcade in Newport Pagnell. Unfortunately the opening date came too close to our print deadline but I hope to have a word with the guys to give you a feature soon.
Creatives will no doubt be eager to make a visit, with the Watershed acting as a home for readers, artists, photographers and musicians as well as film and theatre enthusiasts. I hear that there are both books and instruments lying around which can be read and played respectively - why not chill out with a herbal tea, an organic coffee or any of the various cakes on sale?
Every Tuesday to Thursday 8pm to 12am, the Watershed will also become the venue for “an ever changing range of themed nights and workshops” so watch this space. If you have any ideas yourself then you can email over to events@watershedmk.com. Live sessions from independent acts
are also booked in by the in-house promoters. Also opening is the Belfry Gallery which will display local art. Due to the huge reponse that the folks have had they have had to stop submissions for hangings this month but anyone wishing to submit work is still encouraged to do so.

Above the Brilliant Mr Fox
Looking at the line up for April and there’s certainly one night that has caught my eye, that being the fantastic Mr Fox and friends on Friday 15th April. For a full listing of what is happening go to:

This month sees the 5th MK classic car tour take place, starting at Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands. You can of course get a bite to eat there before you head off.
The more modern cars will be sent off earlier to avoid a build up with the older cars leaving a little later to enjoy the course at a more leisurely pace if you so wish. So
from Woburn the tour continues over to Milbrook which boast an oval testing ground in which cars can get up to 200 mph. Also part of Milbrook is the Alpine Circuit which I’m informed reliably is great fun. Afterwards it’s down to Quainton Railway Centre for a coffee break before moving onto
Silverstone for a turn on the handling circuit. To finish with there is a hog roast and salad to end what is sure to be a very satisfying day.
Look out for our very own Graham Edwards and his wife in his beautiful MGA. This event is in aid of The Little Lives appeal who raise funds for prematurely born babies.
