One for the Future!!!
Booze On The Ouse 2011 Saturday 18th June, 7.30pm Tickets £10
Now in its 5th year, BOTO11 promises to be another great night of beer, bands & probably hangovers !
This event is organised by Olney Town Colts FC, and apart from generating funds for the junior club, donations are made to local charities - this year being Olney’s Balls (testicular cancer) and Willen Hospice.
Tickets will go on sale early in April, and will be available from all team managers, committee members and also through Café Rosco, Bacchus and The Nest at No.9.
In addition to the bands playing on the Saturday evening, we’re also planning to hold an ‘acoustic’ afternoon on Sunday 19th, and further details will be published in next month’s Phonebox.
More ribs tickled as That Time of the Month extends it’s comedy arm further
Hello, hello my fellow buzzers! I hope you’re enjoying the revitalisation of spring as much as me. I really do feel like my batteries get a full charge around this time of year. With all this new found energy I’m in search of fresh things to do and luckily there is plenty happening in and around our area this month. I’ve found a few which I think you may have an
interest in too. I’m not sure if there are any Royal wedding street parties planned, but i’m told that on average you need a good few weeks for all the red tape to get sorted, so you’d better get cracking if you haven’t already! I think I’ll be celebrating down one of the local pubs in Newport Pagnell - well no one likes a party pooper do they? MS

Paul Ricketts tried his hand as a bird- scarer, chimney sweep, musician, playwright, pornographer, stage hand and primary school teacher before turning to stand-up comedy on the advice of his therapist. Paul's distinctive skewed view of the world informs his black ‘sub–urban’ comedy. His intelligent humour focuses not only on sharp observations from life, but also racial, cultural and satirical subject, intermingled with strangle tales of ordinary madness.
In 2006 Paul co-hosted his first Edinburgh fringe show - 'Peter Friends' at the Roxy Art House. A year later he performed at the Smirnoff Underbelly and MC-d 'Pretty Dirty Things' which received a four star review from ONE4REVIEW.COM.
In 2008 Paul hosted 'Up The Arts Comedy Lock-In' to packed audiences and performed his first solo hour show 'Paul

TTOTM INTRODUCING is a brand new Comedy night brought to you by "That Time Of The Month" comedy in Newport Pagnell. The guys are now extending their campaign of humorous stand up into the Milton Keynes area. I spoke to the man with a passion for making you smile, TTOTM organiser Ricky Skinner (has a real promoter ring to his name) and he gave this update:

His 2009 show 'Cutter’s Choice’ went on to be performed in Islington schools as part of their Black History Month Events, plus successful runs at The Hen & Chickens Theatre, London, Leicester and Brighton Fringe Festivals - winning the FRINGE GURU EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARD 2010. Paul’s last Edinburgh show 'Kiss The Badge, Fly The Flag!' received a 'Must See' award from THE STAGE, five stars from REMOTEGOAT.CO.UK and four stars from THREE WEEKS.
