Small School... BIG Achievements! News from Emberton School

We have been building up our muscles this summer - we all participated in the flat races, team races and the favourite “Satsuma on a spoon” race at our annual Sports Day. Our families also had the chance to join in and we had so many energetic mummies that we had to have two races for them! Then it was off to Sherington for a tri-school sports day with St Andrews and Sherington Schools, organised by the MK School Sports Partnership, where we showed off our individual and team sporting skills whilst having lots of fun!
Our new Foundation children have been coming to visit us and our Year 2 leavers have been going off to their next schools for Induction sessions. Our parents enjoyed the opportunity to share their children’s work at our Open Afternoon and also were delighted to be entertained with country dancing by the children.
By the time you read this we will have been to see the wild animals at Whipsnade Zoo, kindly funded by FOES; and will have held our End of Term Assembly where we say farewell to our leavers and wish them well at their next schools. We would like to say Thank you and Good Luck to Mrs Sarah Taylor who also leaves us this term, her caring nature has benefitted the children at Emberton enormously and she will be greatly missed.
