Rhythm Festival is unique. Described as “Britain’s happiest music festival”, it takes place at beautiful Old Warden Park over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August Bank Holiday Weekend (26th-28th).
Music legends of the order of Toots & the Maytals, Steve Cropper, Imelda May, Jack Bruce, Buzzcocks, Blockheads, Curved Air and Dodgy join rising acts and top comedians – including Mark Steel, Paul Zenon and Nick Revel – on five stages. There's oodles of children’s entertainment, including the Panic Circus, Harris's Fun Fair, the Digital Funfair and organised football and Junior Olympics.
Expect luxury food, top booze and the offer of a free child ticket with every adult ticket bought. Recommended for anyone looking for an "upmarket" festival experience for all the family.

Olney Battle of the Bands
WINNERS
George K and the Curious
On Saturday 16th July, the Church of St Peter & St Paul held the second Olney Battle of the Bands. The seven entries provided a wide selection of musical genres and the contestants, all who were aged between 11 and 19 years of age, performed brilliantly making the judging rather a difficult task.
After a loud introduction by local band Trash Monkey, the contest began with Matt Viney delivering two well-known hits. The evening was well supported and cheers of encouragement followed each session.
After a rather lengthy consultation the judges returned with their feedback and advice for each entrant and announced the awards.
The winner of Olney Battle of the Bands 2010 was George & the Curious with several well written numbers - check out Desperadoes. Their prize: a day at Studio 39 Recording Studio and a band photo shoot.
2nd Place went to Tarquin - Who won £40 worth of gift vouchers from Rock Hard Music Wolverton. 3rd Place went to Distortion - who won £20 worth of gift vouchers from Talkin Headz Woburn Sands. Special Commendation went to Matt Viney – who won a guitar repair kit from Hobgoblin in Newport Pagnell.
