YARDLEY HASTINGS VILLAGE WEEKEND
31st August to 2nd September
The village weekend on behalf of St Andrews Church will take on a new look this year. The whole theme is about food, the slogan being “Feast – a Tasty Weekend in Yardley Hastings”. It starts with a Pig Roast and Jazz Evening in the hall on Friday. On Saturday will be a food festival and refreshments in the hall with a food trail around the village and a bake-off in the school. The award winning pub, the Rose and Crown, will be involved along with a number of other well known food providers, and will host a beer and wine marquee.
Sunday will see the traditional village produce show and fete at the hall with tea, cakes and food based games for children of all ages.
The cost for adults will be £2, children free. Tickets for the pig roast will be £10 and can be purchased from Jane Cooke on 01604 696881.
