If you want to brighten a November evening, then the Rotary Club of Newport Pagnell has the perfect solution!
We donʼt wish to startle anyone but, by the time youʼre reading this, Christmas will be only about ten weeks away – or even less!
On Friday 23 November 2012 the Club will be presenting an uplifting concert of popular music with Northampton Male Voice Choir and guest soloist Lincoln Noel at the Chrysalis Theatre, Willen Park. With music from the shows, the opera, modern popular music and songs from the traditional male voice repertoire, the concert will send you home with a spring in your step and a song in your heart! Whatʼs more, youʼll help raise funds for Willen Hospice and Rotary Internationalʼs End Polio Campaign as well as other local charities.
What with buying presents (donʼt forget the ones you bought in the sales and put away somewhere safe ready for next Christmas but for the life of you canʼt remember where), menu planning, party invitations, sorting out visits to and from family and friends, food shopping, sending Christmas cards, booking

Rotarian chef John Belcher then proceeded to exercise his cooking skills on the barbecue, to produce a selection of beef burgers, sausages and onions. John made a brilliant job of this with the additional help of family and friends. The meal was completed with salads, some excellent wine and plenty
Formed in 1946, the choir brings together over fifty men from all walks of life to sing to a high standard under expert musical directorship. In addition to the sheer pleasure of singing with others and of entertaining and fundraising through the concerts, choir members also greatly value the camaraderie and friendships formed within the choir.
Itʼs with this thought in mind that the Rotary Club of Newport Pagnell will, once again, be maintaining a presence at Frosts in Woburn Sands. As a club, we are deeply indebted to Frosts for their unwavering support over many years which, in turn, gives us a platform to collect funds which are then passed on to Willen Hospice and other local charities. In addition to the ʻbucket shakersʼ who will be there every weekend from mid- November until Christmas, visitors will also have the opportunity to win a bottle of fizz at the ʻBucks Fizz Wheel of Fortuneʼ on Saturday 17 November (when Santa Claus arrives) and during the evening of Thursday 22 November.
of puddings to make this an enjoyable social event.
A raffle was organised and various prizes were won, i.e. wine, chocolates and biscuits. This fund raising barbecue has become an annual event, and an amount of £200 was realised from a terrific afternoon in the sun.
