Dear Editor
While out on New Year’s Eve I took this picture which has become a bit of a tradition in Olney. The market place with the Piper really starts my year off well, long may it continue. P.Brown

We meet regularly every Friday at the Olney Centre at 2 pm and everybody aged 60 or over is welcome to come along and join us.
Just to say thank you to all who took part in the Carol singing round the local hostelries on 14th December. £315 was raised for Willen Hospice, an increase on last year. Thanks also to the owners of the restaurants and pubs for allowing us to disrupt their evening and to everyone who contributed so generously. We hope to see you all again this year.
On one Friday each month we hold a Bingo session and on another Whist is played. On the other two Fridays we have either a speaker or have a quiz in one form or another. We also have a Harvest Festival a Carol Service and a Strawberry Tea each year. If you are 60 or more and would like to come and join us our annual subscription is £4.

If you live in one of the villages covered by the Phonebox and do not have a regular 60 plus Club you would be very welcome to come and join us at the Olney Centre on a Friday afternoon. For further details and information regarding coming events please contact Diane Griffin 01234 712587.
I have to go to one shop for organic spinach, another for organic oranges, another for organic apples and so on, it's ridiculous that all of these cannot be found in one place. Why did we bring in Tesco Express if they can't offer the most basic of organic food, not one organic fruit or veg could be found there. The Co-Op which is a much bigger shop surely would have something, but no, nothing organic in the fruit and veg aisle. Are you sick of pesticide ridden produce? I know I am! It's time to start asking for some change. Tesco and Co-Op stop being afraid to put it out, because surely there is a demand for it!!
Dear Editor
We need more Organic produce in Olney!
I am sure I am not the only one sick and tired of having to travel to multiple shops outside of Olney, to find the organic produce I desire.
