Milton Keynes Mobility celebrates its  rst 20 Years
Mark Lancaster MP, Milton Keynes’ Mayor, Councillor Brian White and other councillors were among the guests showing their support for a local business which has been serving the elderly and disabled for 20 years, when they attended a party at the Milton Keynes Centre for Independent Living on Friday 17th May.
Milton Keynes Mobility is Milton Keynes’ leading supplier of aids for the elderly and disabled, serving around a thousand customers in the area every month. Now owned by William and Maggie Carver, it was founded by Newport Pagnell- based Sue and Alan Eames. The  rst shop to open was in the High Street, Newport Pagnell and the business now has three other branches in Queensway, Bletchley; Luton; and Winchester
as well as a website and mail order catalogue. The company sells a huge variety of products from mobility scooters and stairlifts to extra-wide shoes and walking sticks. Service, quality and good value are at the heart of the company’s ethos and all shop managers are trained Trusted Assessors. The company has its own specialist engineers that service, repair and demonstrate equipment, ensuring that the equipment provided is suitable for the customer. The company also supplies Milton Keynes and Luton Borough Councils and is accredited the Buy with Con dence marque.
Mr Carver gave a speech in which he outlined some of the escallating challenges facing High Street shops as well as the opportunities that the growing number of elderly in the area present.
