From the High Street look for Wood Lane there is soon a footpath sign off to the left which leads in to a eld via a stile, head diagonally left to a gap in the hedge, the path now continues to the gap in the hedge at the top centre of this eld. Follow the right hand edge of the next eld with the hedge on your right. Again proceed through the gap in the hedge.
In the next eld follow the left hand perimeter round the two edges of the eld and then through the gap into a large eld, continue across to a hole in the hedge in the corner of the eld, once through keeping the hedge on your right continue down two elds and the on to a drive with houses on your right and join Weston Road in Ravenstone. Cross the road and over a stile built in to a metal gate.
Follow the path diagonally left across the eld to another stile by a gate and then keep to the right by the hedge down the eld to a narrow path next to houses, and then on to Common Street. Turn right here and follow the road round to the right and cross over to go through the lynch gate in to the church yard. Head towards the church door and then turn right to leave the church yard by a small gate in the corner and turn left on to Northend lane.
Follow this track for nearly a kilometre and at a junction of paths take the right hand signed path into a eld, follow this to a “T” junction and again turn right. This now the top end of Wood Lane, which will take you back down to the High Street at Weston Underwood.
However in about a kilometre there is a track off to the left which in a short while takes you to the famous Cowpers Alcove on the right, and read the plaque with excerpt from “The task”. There are great views from
