On July 6th and 7th Newport Pagnell Carnival will be taking over the town to bring lots of fun and frolics for all the family!
The Harley bikers will lead the Parade at 12 noon, followed by our annual Classic Car Rally making its way through town to Riverside Meadow. The 2013 Parade is of cially our largest to date with over 40 entries bringing lots of colour, music, dancers and excitement to Newport Pagnell.
We are delighted to confirm a new addition to the Carnival team this year. Our brand new mascot Carni Croc will be leading the parade and taking part in the many entertainments on Riverside Meadow. Give him a warm welcome and show him what Newport Pagnell is made of!
Once on the eld join us for The Flyin’ Ryan Motorcycle Stunt show, doing daring jumps over lorries and through walls of fire! Around this we have a Falconry show, displaying some of the most stunning birds of prey, you can also chat to the falconry team throughout the day to learn more about these amazing creatures. While at Carnival check out the purpose built wrestling ring where South Midlands–Wrestling team will be conducting professional matches and shows. There will also be numerous food options, a bar, the funfair and an incredible in atables selection. If that wasn’t enough Carni Croc has invited lots of his mascot friends to the eld for a fun–packed race through the arena.
NEWPORT PAGNELL
If you just can’t get enough of the Carnival fun come back to the field Sunday where it will be free entry all day. On the meadow will be the funfair, bar, foods and the largest car boot sale Newport Pagnell has seen.
Also brand spanking new for 2013 is the launch of our annual duck race sponsored by Specsavers. Sham Rashid, hearing director at Specsavers Hearing Centre Milton Keynes, says: ‘Specsavers are delighted to be sponsoring the Newport Pagnell Carnival. We have been trying to involve ourselves in the local community more and more this year, and the carnival is the perfect opportunity. We know how successful and popular the event has been in previous years, and I have no doubt this year will be the same’. Specsavers Milton Keynes will be having their own stall at the carnival, where they will be offering free optical and hearing advice, as well as carrying out free vision and hearing checks for carnival goers. Added to this, the staff will also be providing on–stall entertainment and handing out freebies. Ducks are available now from the MK Specsavers store and the MK- Bathrooms.net shop in Newport Pagnell (next to the big Coop). All funds raised will go back into providing Newport Pagnell with a thriving Carnival for many years to come!
Please do not hesitate to contact the Carnival Committee for further information or to get involved.
