I am sure we are enjoying Wimbledon and  ngers crossed for Murray and the other Brits this year! You may be inspired then to play yourself so give it a try. You can enjoy a great experience playing tennis at Olney – immaculate courts in lovely surroundings and a buzzing, friendly environment. Just bring your own strawberries, cream and Pimms! You can book a court at Davis in the high Street for a game but we hope you’ll  nd our low price memberships for all ages to your taste. So whether you’re a regular, occasional or new player, give tennis a try this summer at Olney.

Our popular camps run throughout the School Holidays from25 July to the end of August. They will be run on Thursdays and Fridays and am and pm sessions. There will be groups for 5 year olds up to 16. Exciting matches are being played between the 70+ players who have entered all the events this year. The Finals are in September.
American Tournament
A fun event was held in rare good weather and we were pleased to have Rusty Racket players entering and enjoying themselves. In the  nal, Phil Anderson and Ruth Ayling beat Jim Pluck and Jo Bedward to win the chocolates.
New Junior Club Night
To meet the demand for more Junior play from the big number of eager youngsters, the club has started a Saturday afternoon Junior Club Night. It usually runs from 4-6pm and is supervised by our coach Liz Brewster. It is free of charge and supported by Fernley Electrical, a very supportive local  rm. Adult Team Summer Season results
The Bucks Mens team second match resulted in a narrow defeat at Chesham Bois.Olney’s team was Simon Barter, new member Phil Anderson, Tom Field, Stephen Bateson, Rob Shacklock and Sam Maltman.
The Ladies C won their  rst match as a new team, beating Wolverton in a really close match 5-3. Olney’s heroines were Emma Maitland, Cindy Parker, Jo Bedward and Jo Weatherill.
The Ladies B has progressed further in the Cup by thrashing Buckingham 8-0. Eleanor Carter, Anne Foulkes, Lynda Baker and Sarah Wilkinson were too strong for the opposition that included an ex Olney player.
The Ladies B was beaten though in the league by Great Linford A despite strong efforts by Sarah Wilkinson, Cindy Parker, Anne Bacon and Linda Baker.
The Mens C beat Great Brickhill 6-2 so have 2/3 wins so far.
The Mixed C was beaten by a strong Silverstone A side but the match took almost 3 hours as Sam Brown, Jill Bradford, Ross Urqhuart and Liz Brewster fought valiantly. Junior Wimbledon visit
