CASTLE ASHBY FETE
On a sunny Sunday afternoon on 2nd June, visitors made their way to Castle Ashby Gardens. Those fortunate enough to attend were treated to a varied day including a birds of prey show and a master demonstration in Karate by local 8th Dan Chief Instructor John Van Weenen. There were a multitude of classic bikes on show and music was provided by The Daventry Music Centre Brass Band. Dog owners were also encouraged to bring along their four legged friends to take part in the ‘Fun Dog Show’.
The engaging children’s entertainer ‘Royston’ kept the kids happy whilst others strolled around the beautiful Orangery in the Italian Gardens. With a hog roast, afternoon teas and strawberries and cream all on sale, the day proved to be a classic English summers afternoon.
