Northampton Royal & Derngate
Budding actors and actresses are invited to audition for the Northampton Royal & Derngate’s production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Monday, July 7, between 4-9pm.
With the show running from October 1-18, director James Darce is looking for boys and girls aged between six and twelve years old, who must not be taller than five feet tall, to play a variety of parts. However, parents must pre-register their children by Wednesday, July 2, 6pm. The young actors will be cast into two teams that will rotate between performances, and they need to have good movement and singing and acting skills. The ability to play an instrument would be useful. Auditionees must also be enthusiastic and have bags of personality. Rehearsals start on August 11, and children must be available for rehearsals and performances as scheduled until the show finishes on October 18.
