A Steering Group, of town councillors and community members was set up to work its way through the fairly lengthy process of preparation. The key word in this process is consultation. We have contacted all the statutory consu ltees, we are arranging meetings with various organisations and we are involving the schools but our main task at this time is to produce a comprehensive questionnaire that will be sent to every household in the town so that everyone can have their say. We are planning to views on the various topics that affect Olney both now and in the future. From all this information we will produce a draft Neighbourhood Plan which will be circulated for further comments and amendments. Once the final plan has been produced it is checked to ensure that it complies with the regulations and then it will be issued for approval in a referendum of Olney residents. Given approval, it then has legal status. In order to give a basic framework for discussion the Steering Group has listed major items to provide a framework for discussion. The headings are: PLAN A ARCHITECTS Rear extension to a house within the Emberton Conservation Area.
