MP’s Kick Start for New Businesses
Iam delighted to announce a new initiative for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs here in MK.
The Business Start-Up and Enterprise Fair is a free event which will be held on Friday, 5th September from 4pm until
7pm at the Network Rail Offices in MK.
As Milton Keynes has proven to be one of the best places in the country to do business, the event has been designed to be a ‘one-stop advice shop’ for those who currently run a business or contemplating the idea of becoming a business owner.
We will be joined by a variety of agencies, including the likes of Companies House, HMRC, Santander, NatWest, Barclays, Rockstar etc. Given my experience with running a family business, I am sure this event will prove useful to all those who attend.
Both Iain Stewart MP and I recognise a need to support start- up businesses, and we hope that this free event will boost confidence and offer resources to drive their business forward. We are looking forward to talking to local entrepreneurs and understanding how they plan to develop their ideas.

Following the recent publication of GCSE results for our students in MK, we should all be celebrating their achievements. Commitment and hard work pays dividends and this lesson starts in our education system, an invaluable lesson that will guide our young people in the future. It goes without saying that this is also testament to the teaching staff, who work tirelessly across the academic year.
