Calling all Bakers!
The Big Olney Bake Off
Last year’s Big Olney Bake Off at the Big Olney Food Festival went down a storm, raising £350 for the Church Hall fund. So, it’s back again for
2014, again supported by Olney firm Jane Smith Financial Planning.
There are four categories, as listed below. Just turn up on the day with your cake (see the rules). There will be prizes for the best cake in each category and also a runner up prize in each category.

Deputy Mayor of Olney Jeremy Rawlings • we are very excited to have a professional
– Hannah Miles, 2007 Masterchef runner up • and cookery writer. The Great Gappo will be
joining the tasting for the kids cupcakes. • At the end of the competition we will be • selling the cakes by the slice and every
penny raised will go to the following funds • set up by two local families, Tobys Trust tobystrust.org and Williams Brighter

Competition Timings and Rules
Bring your cake to the main marquee, and find the cake competition stall no earlier than 3.00pm on the day of BOFF
The judging will take place between 4.30pm – 5.30pm with winners announced and prizes given out on the day, so please stay around.
The cake baker should not be a professional baker (ie bake cakes for a living)
Please ensure your name and phone (and age for children) is clearly identified when you hand your cake in
All cakes will be sold once the winners have been announced – all money raised is going towards Toby’s Trust and William’s Brighter Future Trust – see page 12 & 13 of the programme
By entering the competition you are giving your consent for your cake(s) to be photographed and used for future promotional material and for the cakes to be sold with all proceeds going to the Toby’s Trust and William’s Brighter Future Fund
who have both helped local families
