Old Time Music Hall
The Cowper and Newton Museum with David Pibworth of Milton Keynes Theatre of Comedy would like to invite you to audition for a very special ‘Old Time Music Hall’ evening to commemorate our WW1 heroes.
Scheduled for Saturday 25th April 2015, we will be holding this event at the Carlton House Club in Olney. It is proposed that there should be eight acts, including a comedian, magician (comical like Tommy Cooper), female comedy double-act (like Gert and Daisy), a female singer (like Dame Vera Lyn), two other acts to be decided and two sing-along sessions. We will make use of a Master of Ceremonies and a pianist. We will use local talent wherever possible, ensuring this is a community event. We will have our acts in costume and will ask the audience to dress up too, if they would like to. It will be a fun evening, with poignancy

PTFA Raft Race
n Sunday 7th July, Carlton PTFA
entered the Olney Raft Race again,
this time with a Viking theme! The craft was impressive, contstructed with recycled materials by the resourceful Will Tonge. Helmets, plaits & great big bushy beards were applied to the mixed crew comprising of: Hannah Tongue, Colin Fletcher, Will Tongue, Mike Bowman, Alex Uncles, Christina Lugsden, Liz Walsh & Digger the Jack Russell (mascot & ballast). We shaved about half an hour off last years finishing time, down to 36 mins & 36 seconds – but more importantly won the most fun team/ raft for the second year.
A whopping £1,170 was raised in Sponsorship. Thank you to all involved for a most memorable day.
