There must be hundreds of you in the area who love gardens and maybe even gardening! I wonder how
many of you know about our flourishing club, which was in existence long before I came to Olney.
I have been a member for over three years and have never failed to appreciate the monthly evening meetings in the Olney Centre. We are greeted with a friendly welcome and a cup of tea and biscuits and quite frequently a glass of wine, before settling down to listen to a talk. The speakers are unfailingly knowledgeable and interesting, treating subjects such as ‘New Varieties of Shrubs and Perennials’, ‘The Sex Life of Plants’, ‘Plants as Healers’, ‘House Plants’, ‘Container Planting’ and so on. Occasionally we have a Quiz, organised by members, which is great fun.
