and two or three Social Evenings in Members’ Gardens. Special outings are arranged and we have recently been by coach to such wonderful gardens as Hidcote, Kiftsgate and Wisley. We also visit more local Gardens and Nurseries, sharing cars.
All in all, it is a most enjoyable club to belong to, master-minded by our enthusiastic and hard-working chairwoman, Mary Crouch and her team of helpers. And yet, the annual subscription costs only £5 and at each meeting we pay £2, which entitles us to a raffle ticket. I’m sure you would agree that it is ‘value for money’! Our members include men and women aged from 40+ to 80+ and meetings start at 7.30 pm on the last Tuesday of the month. Do come along if you’re interested – the next meeting is on September 30th, at which there is a talk on Texture and Foliage in the Garden.
