Welsh soprano Elin Thomas will perform with the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra.
Comedy
Star of the BBC’s The Magicians, Pete Firman is performing at the Northampton Royal on the 6th,
while star of Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You? Comedian Lee Mack will be performing on the Northampton stage on the 18th and 19th.
Another comedian well known for his television appearances will be at MK Theatre on the 28th, as QI and Jonathan Creek’s Alan Davies returns with Little Victories, a show of chatty stories, grumpy observations and naughty jokes. Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Seann Walsh will make an appearance at the Bedford Corn Exchange on the 13th, with a new show called 28 (after his age). Aptly, it’s about how he is living with his girlfriend now and gradulally having to become an actual grown-up.
Simon Callow in The Man Jesus.
Music
Having regularly performed at the Royal Albert Hall and across the country, the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra will take to the stage at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate on the 8th with Lest We Forget, a concert to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
The brainchild of Martyn Ware and born from the collapse of the original Human League, 80’s synth pioneers Heaven 17 will appear at the Bedford Corn Exchange on the 7th, performing fan favourites and new material.
Another Eighties band will make their way to Milton Keynes this month as Go West take to The Stables’ stage on the 21st. With their self-titled album remaining in the UK charts for 83 weeks, they proved themselves one of the most popular duos to emerge from the decade.
