Newton Blossomville School
School is a busy place as usual this term – the children are enjoying their daily hot meals which are provided by Olney Infant Academy – the smells
from the kitchen each day are delicious!
We have been on a couple of trips already this term; we went off to Campbell Park to learn about the stories of Beatrix Potter whilst exploring the park in all its beauty. It was a super day, enjoyed by all.
Our topic this term is ‘Seasides’ and we are having a traditional Punch and Judy Show in school as part of our learning on Victorian
seasides. That’s the way to do it!
Our Harvest Service was again very successful, and the children and families gave generously to support the work of the Milton Keynes Food Bank.
We also had a visit from the Fire Brigade from Newport Pagnell – the firefighters explained all about the equipment on the fire engine and the children got to sit inside!
We have our Open Morning on Tuesday 12th November from 9.30am -10.30am if you would like to see our amazing school in action – everyone is welcome.
Stoke Goldington First School
A time to remember
This month all the children are marking Remembrance Day and this year’s 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, during a special ‘World War 1 week.’ The British Legion has kindly donated poppy seeds to School which all the children have been busy planting. Each year group is also spending time at the village War Memorial just outside the front of
School, thinking about the contribution many local people made to the First World War.
Every Thursday the children from Stoke Goldington Pre-School are enjoying their weekly visits to Early Years Foundation Stage class at School. This the perfect opportunity to catch up with their old friends from Pre-School and familiarise themselves with the environment ready for when they move on in September 2015 – it may feel a long way off but time flies by for our little ones!
