Heritage Open Days
10th – 13th September, 10:30am – 4:30pm
Step back into Georgian life walking through the original home of William Cowper, featuring a vast array of personal artefacts and belongings. Discover Cowper’s comic sense of humour, his poetry and writings, his dark depressions and love of animals and gardening. Learn about the origins of the world famous hymn ‘Amazing Grace’ as you unfold John Newton’s story. Join in the Big Olney Food Festival festivities on 12th/13th when the museum will come alive with family fun. Entrance: Free.

for another very enjoyable evening. With a fish and chip supper too, book early to avoid disappointment!

Margaret Phoenix is a UK based acrylic and multimedia artist. Originally from Zimbabwe, Margaret attended art college and began painting in earnest, focusing on the wonderful diversity of wildlife in Zimbabwe, exhibiting her work in both public and private galleries before moving to the UK. She creates original works of art inspired by all the rich and vibrant colours of the natural world and her beloved Africa.
