Since opening the doors of its family-run, award-winning business four years ago in Oakham, Savvi Travel have booked thousands of holidays for various clients travelling all over the globe. Having opened the Olney branch of Savvi Travel in
May, we went to find out a bit about their business and what they do. One thing Savvi Travel made clear is that nothing is too big or too little for their dedicated team. Whether you want to trek the Antarctic, need a theatre trip to London, or simply want a brochure for a particular location, they can be there to sort it out for you. Dave says, “we feel that keeping close relations with clients and having a link with the locality is an extremely important part of running our business. So who makes up the fantastic Savvi Travel group? The team consists of Dave – the touring specialist – who has several years of experience and knowledge of North and South America, the Caribbean and the Middle East; Kay, who is the boss of accounts and deals with the daily running of the Oakham and Olney branches; Kelly – she deals with leisure travel and, having had 14 years in the industry, knows a lot about the Far East, Indian Ocean, Europe and Florida; and finally Ann, who is an Olney resident. Having had 15 years in the industry, she has key knowledge about business and leisure travel, Europe, cruising in Australasia, and is an Australia and New Zealand specialist!

Dave tells us about the ins and outs of booking a holiday with Savvi Travel: “Most holiday bookings start with clients asking us for a quote. Sometimes they won’t be certain of where they want to visit so we enjoy getting to know them and building up a rapport so that we can help
what you enjoyed and what you would do differently; it’s all about getting to know you as an individual holiday-maker.” Dave and the team told us they have been getting to know the local residents, and enjoy helping their clients book holidays which create memories to last a lifetime.
