Pre-school Fund Raising
The Co-op nationally are fundraising for British Red Cross during 2016 but, as a store, Olney Co-op have
decided to also continue to raise funds for the local community.
They agreed in January that their rst bene ciary would be Olney Pre- School and contact was made with the headmistress, Abigail Chippendale who informed the Co-op that they were trying to raise money to purchase an outdoor mud garden for the children. The Co-op pledged to cover the cost and following a raffle over Easter, achieved their target of £1000. Phonebox Magazine went along with store manager Paul when he presented the cheque to the Pre-School.
They wish to thank the engagement of the store team and the generosity of their customers.
They will be choosing a couple of further local causes during the year to support in addition to their efforts for British Red Cross.
