Entirely A Matter For You
Well, as you know Mr Cameron has given us a vote on the 23rd June, which I suspect he’s beginning to regret now
as things have got especially nasty within his party. They’ve all fallen out and it’s splendid fun. I mean, what a twit, he must have known that many in his crowd are champing at the bit to leave and they were hardly going to sit around discussing it reasonably. As he led the public to believe that if he couldn’t negotiate certain criteria with the EU he would be happy to back us leaving, he can hardly be surprised that after negotiating the square root of sod all, there is some disquiet. But the banks and other large corporates who can hide their dealings easier within the corrupt EU have spoken and are nancially backing the ‘Remain’ campaign, so there we have it. I think that other than that, he would want out.
Then there’s Boris – no surname required – who was always pro the EU, changing his mind in order to make a nal grasp for the top job. He put the cat amongst the pigeons for certain.
On the other side we have Jeremy Corbyn, who for years voted against the EU. He voted against membership in 1975, and opposed the
subsequent Maastricht and Lisbon treaties, but he’s now jumped into the ‘Remain’ camp in order to stay as leader of the now curiously pro EU Labour party. I suppose he’d have been dumped on the backbenches before you could say “Workers control the means of production” if he hadn’t bowed to them. I don’t think his heart’s in it really, but as most of the Labour party are still Blairites at heart it was probably inevitable.
So to sum up, our Prime Minister under other circumstances would secretly like to leave really, the leader of the opposition would secretly like to leave as well and the geezer in charge of the ‘Leave’ campaign would like us to remain. That’s politics for you folks. And people try to tell me they’re different. Ho, ho, ho.
Interestingly our own MP, Mark Lancaster, for years playing the EU sceptic, has now said he will vote to remain in. I wish him a speedy recovery before the 23rd June.
Anyway, the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter what they think as we ... yes ... us ... the public ... have the decision in our hands. I make no bones at all about where my vote will go. I shall vote to leave. I’ve always believed that and I always shall. My view is purely on
ASK THE POWERFUL FIVE QUESTIONS
What power have you got? Where did you get it from?
In whose interests do you exercise it?
To whom are you accountable?
How can we get rid of you?
Only democracy gives us that
right. That is why no-one with power likes democracy and that is why every generation must struggle to win it and keep it; including you and me, here and now.
