However, I am under no illusion that business owners are struggling, and so I want to do all I can to support them and ensure our high streets can thrive.I have launched a new campaign to support small businesses across the constituency. Through %u2018Small Business Saturday%u2019 I will highlight a local small business on social media each week. With the aim of highlighting their brilliant goods and produce and attracting more customers to local high street shops. I will also use this platform to promote a muchneeded discussion around the importance of shopping and buying locally.Alongside this social media campaign, I will be helping our local businesses engage with the wider community to understand how we can best champion small businesses and revitalise our high streets. In the coming months, I will be meeting the Small Business Commissioner Chris%u2019s Small Business Saturday Campaignto discuss my plans for championing our small businesses to deliver real, positive change to our communities. I will also use my conversations with local businesses to feed into discussions with Government Ministers about future policy, as a primary mission for the Government is growing the country%u2019s economy. This is a really important campaign for me. As the fi rst Milton Keynes MP who was born and grew up here, I personally know how important our local shops and high streets are to all of the brilliant communities around the constituency. Each pound spent with a small business goes back into our local economy and helps our villages, towns and city fl ourish. I want to ensure that our amazing high streets can continue to be the beating heart of our communities, and as Milton Keynes North%u2019s MP, I will do all I can to champion this. Please follow my Facebook page to keep up to date with my Small Business Saturday Campaign. If there is a local business which you would like to be featured, I%u2019d love to hear about it and you can get in touch with me and my team at chris.curtis.mp@parliament.uk.Chris Curtis, MP for Milton Keynes NorthSMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY%u00ae /chriscurtislabour
