Andrea Lynch and Ian Whiley enter into a newly licensed partnership
Ian Whiley and Andrea Lynch of The Royal Oak Carlton
were married by their good friend Penny at Wellingborough Register Office on Wednesday 4th April.
Andrea and Ian are
well known locally for
their charity events
and to The Oak’s
many skittles, pool,
crib and quiz team
opponents and
especially as being the
previous, and much
loved licensees, of The Boot Inn, Wollaston.
The music comprised ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ by Pink Floyd, ‘You’re Gorgeous’ by Baby Bird and ‘We Belong’ by Pat Benatar.
On Easter Saturday, the newly weds celebrated their marriage in a Church Blessing at the picturesque St. Mary’s Church Carlton.
An eclectic mix of musical styles was to be enjoyed, with the couple entering the church to ‘Head over Feet’
by Alanis Morissette
followed by an ‘a
cappella’ rendition
of Jerusalem.
Readings were delivered by Marie, the bride’s mother, and by friends of the bride and groom.
The Reverend Jean Burrows reprised Madonna’s wedding
address then presented Andrea
and Ian with two rolls of soft toilet tissue! One blue and one pink!
The bride’s late father Harry’s favourite song, ‘Stairway to Heaven’ was performed by Pat South, vocals and guitar, with Andy Pace on bass. All sang ‘Bind us together Lord’ and the couple left to ‘Bed of Roses’ by Bon Jovi, stepping out into the sunshine and a hail of confetti.
Finally, while enjoying a barbeque organised by Harrold butcher Andy Whiley, over 300 guests were entertained royally at The Oak
by local favourites ‘Black Rose’ with Miles Goodman.
The bride is pictured flanked by two of her bridesmaids, Rachel Peters of Northampton and Gemma Elliot from Rushden.
All dresses were designed and made by Yvonne Elliot. The cake was designed and created by Bernice Wyke. K
